For a major in Spanish, 28 credits are required in courses numbered 211 or higher. Students whose Spanish proficiency is beyond SPAN 211 and SPAN 212 will take all their courses at the 300-400 levels; such students will not receive credit for SPAN 211 and SPAN 212.
Students who successfully complete SPAN 111 and SPAN 112 with a grade of “C” or higher or demonstrate proficiency at the SPAN 112 level or above, will be eligible for admission to the major.
