Requirements for the Psychology Major (For students admitted Fall 2011 and after). A Psychology Major requires 43 credits in psychology and completion of the Foundation courses and the required Psychology courses below. A minor is required.

Foundation Courses (8 credits required but credits do not apply to 41-credit psychology requirement)
Strongly Recommended:
- PHIL 114 Introduction to Logic (3 cr)
Required Courses (21 credits)
Required Courses I (14 credits)
Majors must take at least ONE COURSE FROM EACH of the following four areas: Biological Foundations in Psychology (4 credits required)
Learning/Cognitive Psychology (3 credits required)
Developmental Psychology (4 credits required)
Personality/Social Psychology (3 credits required)
Required Courses II (5-8 credits required)
Majors must take at least ONE COURSE FROM TWO of the following three areas: Specialized Topics in Psychology
Applied/Clinical Psychology
Lab Courses (2 credits required)
Majors must complete TWO OF THE FOLLOWING LABS:
