For a major in French, 28 credits in French are required in courses numbered 211 or higher. Students whose French proficiency is beyond French 211 and 212 will take all their courses at the 300-400 levels; such students will not receive credits for FREN 211 and FREN 212.
Students who successfully complete FREN 111 and 112 or demonstrate proficiency at the FREN 112 level or above, will be eligible for admission to the major.
