Epidemiology is the study and analysis of the distribution and determinants of health and disease in populations. It is the cornerstone of public health as it is used to identify risk factors for disease and disease prevention. With a strong emphasis on application, this minor will provide foundational knowledge on key epidemiological concepts and methods; students will understand how to investigate, detect and address health issues at the local, state, national, and global level. Knowledge and skills gained will be used to inform policy decisions and evidence-based interventions.
