ETM 350 - Mechanics of Materials

Mechanical properties of materials, including engineering stress and strain under tension and shear loading, longitudinal and lateral strain, Poisson’s ratio, modulus of elasticity and modulus of rigidity. Calculate the effect of material properties on the distribution of stress and strain in structural members subjected to tension, shear, torsion and bending forces.

Requisites: ME 251 - Engineering Statics must be completed prior to taking this course.
