ART 387G - Appliance Interface Design


This course explores the design of user interfaces for everyday appliances, focusing on creating intuitive and accessible interactions. Students will learn interface design principles, information architecture, and user testing methodologies through hands-on projects with common devices like microwaves, security systems, and thermostats. Topics include visual hierarchy, interaction flows, physical controls, and digital displays. The course emphasizes human-centered design practices to enhance user experience in household technology.

Requisites: ART 250G , ART 350G  or instructor permission - Must be completed prior to taking this course.
