ART 350G - Typography

A discussion of typographic history and application. An emphasis on text as an expressive graphic element will be explored. Lectures, quizzes, and reading assignments explore typography through letter, word, line, and page - using the grid as a structural device. Projects will apply those skills to practical applications such as publication design. Projects emphasize organizing text to enrich and emphasize the text meaning.

Requisites: ART 250G, (Required, Previous).
