TE 455 - Internship for PK-3/3-6


Intern teaching involves full-time teaching and involvement in two educational settings: 12 weeks in a lower elementary (P-3) classroom and 4 weeks in an upper elementary classroom(3-6) OR 12 weeks in an upper elementary (3-6) classroom and 4 weeks in a lower elementary classroom (P-3). Intern teaching, the Elementary Capstone (TE 404) and Clinical Seminar (TE 451) are integrated and blocked together in order to combine the practice of teaching with frequent opportunities to reflect critically and analytically on teaching and learning. 

Requisites: All professional methods courses in the candidate’s selected grade band(s)/endorsement area(s) (Required, Previous). TE 404  and TE 451  (Required, Concurrent).
