LS 580 - Human Resources Development Course examines the design and implementation of human resource strategies and systems within organizations in the public and non-profit sectors. Employment law is covered as it applies to the motivation, education and professional development of human performance potential and realization as well as the recruitment, hiring, training and evaluation of staff. Related topics will include compliance, diversity, labor relations, employee benefit programs and staffing issues and strategies. An emphasis will be placed on the role of administrative decision-making in the context of staff and organizational development.
