COMM 405 - Human Communication Theory Human interaction viewed from an interdisciplinary perspective. Empirical and theoretical approaches to the study of verbal and non-verbal communication behavior. Symbolic interaction; defensive/supportive communication; role and gender contributions to communication; person perception; general systems theory. Survey of research in the field.
