Computer Applications Minor

Return to: Programs
The Minor in Computer Applications provides the general student with the opportunity to acquire skills and proficiency in the use of application software such as spreadsheets, databases, desktop publishing, multimedia, and an event-driven Windows-based programming language. The application software that will be used in the minor are tools that are widely available and important in the workplace. Organizations rely heavily on the use of these tools and depend on the people who use this software to be able to work with the applications competently and professionally. No matter what major a student has, knowledge about these applications is important. Students who complete this minor satisfactorily should be able to apply these tools at a professional level to the solution of important real problems in both their personal and professional lives.
