A French major is available to students desiring to teach at the secondary or K-12 level. It requires completion of the 30 credit hour major described below, completion of a minor in an approved department and completion of professional development courses in Modern Foreign Languages and in the College of Education (see College of Education section of the catalog).

One literature course from the following:

One additional 400-level French course
Additional Electives
Additional 300-400 level electives in French to total a minimum of 30 credits. Required Course(s) for Certification
In addition to 30 credits in French, students must complete College of Education Secondary Education courses and one of the following Language Methods requirements. Required for secondary certification:
