Mathematics Minor for Teacher Certification

Restricted to students seeking secondary teacher certification in mathematics; a student who does not complete teacher certification requirements will not be permitted to graduate with this minor.

Required Courses

In accordance with the Academic Residency Requirement, at least 3 credits of mathematics at the sophomore or higher level must be completed at SVSU.

MATH 161 - Calculus I (GE3) 4 cr
MATH 162 - Calculus II 4 cr
MATH 300 - Discrete Math Structures 3 cr
MATH 302 - Introduction to Modern Mathematics 3 cr
MATH 304 - Applied Probability & Statistics 3 cr
MATH 471 - Abstract Geometry 3 cr
