Public Law Minor

The public law minor is an interdisciplinary minor that allows students to become familiar with the roots of the American legal system and its effect on people in the US. Courses will involve students in reading and understanding legal issues and to prepare for careers that require or involve legal issues. The minor is comprised of classes from the political science, philosophy, English, history, criminal justice, and Black Studies departments.
General admission requirements.

Required courses
These courses are required for the minor. (7 credits).
Law Related Classes
Students are required to take one of these courses for the minor (3 or 4 credits).
American Constitutional Law
Students are required to take one of these courses. (3 credits).
Electives
Students must take two of these elective courses for the minor. (6 credits). Electives cannot be used to fulfill other requirements of the minor.
