The Social Studies Endorsement Program requires teacher candidates to complete 43-44 hours of content and professional studies courses for a recommendation for the RX certification at the secondary level in Michigan.
The Social Studies endorsement is available to students desiring to teach at the middle (grades 5 to 9) or high school level (grades 7 to 12). It requires a double major with one of the education majors described in the College of Education section.
