The RN to BSN student is one who has graduated from an accredited school of nursing and holds a current unencumbered RN license to practice in the state of Michigan.
Admission Requirements
To complete the degree requirements, an RN student must earn a minimum of 15 credits of core nursing courses (NURS) and 9 credits from approved upper division elective courses; 124 credits are required for graduation, of which 31 must be from SVSU. The 124 credits include: the 15 core NURS credits, 9 approved upper division elective credits, an approved statistics course, 39 credits awarded based on articulation criteria, transfer credits, and General Education credits. Basic skill credits do not count towards the 124 credits for graduation.
