A minor is not required. (The minor requirement is met automatically by completing the business core; however, a minor in accounting, economics, finance, legal studies or marketing may be obtained by completion of certain courses as listed under the respective department.)

Bachelor of Business Administration Requirements (B.B.A.)

Every candidate must earn at least a total of 124 credits, including a minimum of 42 credits at the 300-400 level, complete university Basic Skills and General Education requirements, and must satisfy the following:

Business Core (50 cr)

Business Cognates (11 cr)

COMM 105A - Fundamentals of Communication (GE9) 3 cr
CS 150 - Contemporary Business Software 1 cr
MATH 145 - Finite Math (GE3) 4 cr or MATH courses numbered at or above MATH 161 [MATH 145 is recommended for business students who are not planning to take additional work in mathematics]
RPW 300 - Writing in the Professions 3 cr

Required Foundation Course (4 cr)

PSYC 100 - General Psychology (GE6) 4 cr

Required Management Major Courses (19-20 cr)

Students may obtain a major in Management, or choose a concentration in Human Resource Management or Family Business Management.

MGT 323 - Human Resource Management 4 cr
MGT 328 - Organizational Behavior 4 cr
An additional 12 credits required in 300-400 level management courses, not to include any business core courses.

Family Business Management Concentration Courses (21 cr)

MGT 323 - Human Resource Management 4 cr
MGT 368 - Org. Behavior in the Family Bu 4 cr
MGT 363 - Family Business Management 4 cr
One course from:
MGT 467 - Internship in Family Business Management 3 cr
MGT 468 - Seminar in Family Business Management 3 cr
An additional 3 credits required in 300-400 level management courses, not to include any business core courses.
An additional 3 credits required in any 300-400 level business course (ACCT, ECON, FIN, LAW, MGT or MKT), not to include any business core courses, chosen in consultation with advisor.

Human Resource Management Concentration (20 cr)

The Human Resource Management concentration equips students with an array of skills needed to lead a successful career in HR.
