French Minor

20 credits in French courses numbered FREN 211 or higher.
It is strongly recommended that a minimum of 6 credit hours be taken abroad in a country where French is spoken. These credit hours can be taken to fulfill required or elective courses in the minor with instructor approval.

Core Courses (8 cr)
Students whose French proficiency is beyond FREN 211 will take FREN 212, and the remaining credits at the 300-400 levels; they will not receive credit for FREN 211. Students whose French proficiency is beyond FREN 212 will take all their courses at the 300-400 levels and will not receive credit for FREN 211 or 212.
Additional Electives
Additional credits in FREN courses numbered 300 or greater to total a minimum of 20 credits.
