Athletic Coaching Minor

This minor is open to any SVSU major and is intended to help prepare students to coach sport. Topics relating to fitness, fitness assessment, sport psychology, motor learning & development, First Aid, CPR and important concepts in sport health and safety will be presented. Students will have the opportunity to achieve Michigan High School Athletic Association Coaching Advancement Program (MSHAA-CAP) certification which is required to coach Michigan high school athletics.
