The SVSU Certificate in Entrepreneurship is open to all non-business majors at the university. It is founded on the understanding that there is a common process for the creation of new ventures.

The certificate teaches students the necessary skills to be an entrepreneur in a variety of settings from startups, through non-profits, to leading new venture projects within existing companies.

The skills of developing a new venture, whether a completely new organization, or a new project within an established business are highly sought after in the job market.

Students who pursue the certificate are creative and motivated, and are looking for ways to hone core business development skills and apply them hands-on to an entrepreneurial endeavor.

The program consists of three core classes.

Students may not double count courses that are applicable to both the B.B.A. and the entrepreneurship minor.
