To apply to become a Criminal Justice Major, students must be in good standing academically with an overall grade point of 2.0 or better and must have completed CJ 201! - Intro to Criminal Justice (GE7)  with a grade of “C” or better.

A minor is required.

Required Basic Courses (6 cr)

 

Required Systems Courses (6 cr)

Majors must take at least 2 courses from:

Majors must take at least 1 course from each of the following three areas:

Understanding and Using Evidence

 

Frameworks for Decisions

 

Global Understanding

 

Required Capstone (3 cr)

 

Electives (15 cr)

Students are encouraged to take electives is their specific areas of interest. Electives can be any of the CJ courses from the list below or any of the required courses listed above that you are NOT counting toward the hours needed to fulfill the requirements in that category.
