Computer Forensics Minor

Students completing the Computer Forensics Minor Program will be prepared to enter the field of computer forensics in a public or private environment as computer forensics analysts, computer security technicians, and Internet security analysts. Individuals currently working in this or a related field will substantially enhance their knowledge and skills.

Computer Science Requirements (11 credits required)

CS 105 - Introduction to Computers & Programming 4 cr
CS 116 - Computer Programming I 4 cr
CS 160 - Microcomputer Software 3 cr

Criminal Justice Requirements (9 credits required)

CJ 201 - Introduction to Criminal Justice [CI] 3 cr
CJ 305 - Criminal Law 3 cr
CJ 360 - Evidence & Criminal Procedure 3 cr

Computer Forensics Requirements (8 credits required)
