The General Minor in Geography is designed to give students a foundational background in Geography, and allow them to focus the Geography course work in such a way that complements their chosen major. Through courses, students will understand and be able to apply a geographical perspective to earth’s physical and human systems. The three core courses prepare students for upper division courses they choose. Geography 460 provides students with a history of the discipline, practice in research methods, and career development opportunites. The General Minor requires 18 credits in Geography as outlined below.
