The goal of the Mechanical Engineering Department is to provide a program of choice for students in East-Central Michigan and to have graduates recognized by various regional constituencies as among the best in the state.

The Mechanical Engineering Departmnet does this through consultation of our constituencies throigh a process of assessment and continuous improvement. Student Outcomes and Program Educational Objectives are listed on the Department’s website.

Students wishing to major in Mechanical Engineering may declare their intent at any time. Upon completion of ME 101 with a grade of “C” or better, students in good academic standing can electronically request designation as Mechanical Engineering majors.
