TE 281 - Understanding Disability in Ed. Contexts


Credits: 3

Focuses on the characteristics, identification, assessment, and instruction of students with disabilities. Explores the history of special education and models of service provision in Michigan school systems. Examines the theories, laws, and procedures surrounding special education. Course topics also introduce all areas of special education eligibility. Field experiences in inclusive educational K-12 settings will be required.
