THEA 470 - Theatre for Young Audiences

An exploration of the history and theories of theatre for young audiences, including adults performing for children and children performing for children. Provides practical experience in selecting and staging plays for children, including published plays, adaptations of picture books into plays, and improvisational experiences. Examines performance and content standards, educational and theatrical considerations, the nature of the audience and aesthetic values.
