MATH 072 - Numerical Literacy

Topics will include number systems, operations, inequalities, fractions and decimals, percentages and ratios, functions and graphs, and linear equations. Number sense, problem solving skills, applications, and communication of mathematical ideas will be emphasized throughout the course. Additional topics may be covered.

Math 072 is not intended for students in majors or minors that require algebra/calculus track coursework (e. g. MATH 103 , MATH 110 , MATH 138 , MATH 140 , MATH 145 , MATH 161 ). Check with an advisor prior to enrolling in Math 072 if you are unsure. Not applicable to General Education requirements and/or minor requirements.
