GEOG 303 - The Local and Global Biosphere This course examines the spatial and temporal patterns underlying the distribution of the Earth’s living organisms (plants and animals), as well as the biological and physical processes responsible for these patterns. Students will learn about topics like species range limits, biodiversity, island biogeography, vegetation dynamics & disturbance ecology, human impacts on living organisms, and conservation. This class also includes field-based/outdoor learning exercises.
