TE 314 - Literacy Methods for Upper Elementary

Theoretical and methodological understanding of teaching and assessing constructs of literacy appropriate for students in upper elementary grades. Special emphasis will be placed on major elements of literacy: fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, spelling, writing, and literacy remediation/intervention. Fieldwork in classrooms for grades 4-6. Co-requisite for TE 349 or TE 359 Field Practicum

Requisites: Admission to the Teacher Education (Required, Previous). TE 349 or TE 359 (Required, Concurrent).
