TE 569 - Teach Students w Profound & Mult Disab This course focuses on educating youth who have moderate to profound cognitive impairments and multiple disabilities. Candidates will further develop the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, plan for, and teach youth’s: language/communication (including alternative forms of communication) and social competence; academic skills (including functional academics); vocational training; life skills; community participation; and recreation/leisure. Health-care and community agency service coordination are emphasized. Note: Fieldwork required.
Requisites: Admission to the College of Education.
