TE 627 - Leadership, Techniques & Strategies Effective teaching in schools also involves the myriad of experiences that are unique to school environments. The people and families that we work with. In this course, we consider the responsibilities of a special education teacher and key strategies and techniques to support students across the continuum of services. Although we will consider best practices, we will also explore nuance to consider how seemingly similar situations-like the least restrictive environment or behavior plans-can be drastically different based on grade-level and program type (resource room v. self-contained). Most importantly, we will study these outcomes from a practical perspective. Activities, discussions, and projects will directly support your practice.
