CHEM 496 - Directed Internship


Students in this course will apply skills and knowledge obtained in the chemistry curriculum in an internship such as with a company, community partner, or government agency.  The internship should occur concurrently or prior to the course and be research or project oriented.  In addition to the internship, students will meet on campus for class as well as with the instructor through individual appointments.  Class time will explore professionalism, ethics, and career pathways.  Students will share their experiences through discussions and presentations.  Individual meetings with the instructor will include project planning and troubleshooting.   

Requisites: Senior standing (recommended) and instructor permission (required).

Credits:3 cr
