TE 388 - Family Service Models This course is designed to provide specialized content and procedural strategies related to the provision of family-centered early intervention for infants, toddlers, and young children (Birth-5) who are at-risk, have developmental delays, or identified exceptionalities. Key aspects of parent coaching, modeling, consultation, interdisciplinary collaboration, service coordination, and family-centered services will be explored. The importance of supporting young children in their natural environments and embedding interventions into daily routines will be reviewed and practiced. Focus on culturally responsive practices will also be highlighted.
Requisites: Admission to the College of Education Teacher Education (B.A) Program and TE 381 (Required, Previous). This course is a requirement of the professional core sequence for the Birth-Kindergarten teacher certification band.
