TE 280 - Developmentally Appropriate Practice Investigation of the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive growth and development of children from birth to grade 3. Significant approaches to early childhood programs and developmentally appropriate practices are studied. Both typical and atypical behaviors of young children are interpreted and recorded through planned and guided observations. Opportunities for the observation and recording of children in educational settings are provided. Fieldwork is required in a prekindergarten setting.
