HS 307 - Neurodegenerative diseases This is an experimental/clinical neuroscience course intended to provide both the neuroscience major and any inquisitive student with a broad exposure to the current questions and therapeutic applications in chronic neurodegenerative diseases. Course themes may vary year to year, but will always include Alzheimer’s disease. In general, the course material will present and illustrate current concepts, techniques, regimen, and challenges in neurodegeneration in a “Journal Club” like setting where students will present, evaluate, and discuss current topics. Additionally, in Neurodegenerative diseases, students will be exposed to professional development perspectives and career opportunities that might be of interest to new neuroscience majors, in both the basic and applied sciences.
