CIS 425 - Decision Support Systems


The analysis and design of information systems permitting the computer to become an integral part of the decision making process. This course will examine systems technologies ranging from optimization problem solvers through artificially intelligent systems that support the decision making process. In particular, optimization-problem solving packages, language processing systems, expert systems, neural networks, machine learning systems, genetic algorithms and data visualization systems will be examined.

Requisites: CIS 311 , CS 245 , Senior standing (Required, Previous).
