ME 300 - Introduction to Renewable Energy Introductory engineering and economic principles of renewable energy systems including solar thermal, solar photovoltaic, wind, tidal, geothermal, fuel cells, biofuels and energy storage technologies including and advanced batteries, ammonia fuel, hydrogen fuel, capacitors and flywheels. Case studies on energy resources, extraction, efficiency, and end use are presented with an emphasis on analytic techniques that serve as an engineering and economic tool box for students.
Requisites: CHEM 111. Mechanical Engineering Major, Agricultural Studies Minor or Alternative Energy Minor (Required, Previous).
