SOC 286 - Sociology of Deviant Behavior An introduction to the sociological study of deviant behavior and social control. Consideration given to social control processes and institutions and to the relationships between social structure, social institutions, social control and deviant behavior. Topics covered include: individual, family, community and societal disorganization such as crime, prostitution, drug abuse, mental illness, suicide, sexual variance.
Requisites: SOC 111. (Required, Previous).
