PS 375 - Education and Democracy The study of classical, modern, and contemporary accounts of learning in a democratic regime. The works of critical thinkers such as Plato, Aristotle, Aquinas, Descartes, Bacon, Berkeley, Rousseau, Skinner, Dewey, and Illich will be studied as well as public policy issues like diversity, academic freedom, learning assessment, and institutional accountability.
