MLS 200 - Intro to Medical Laboratory Science An introductory course that includes an overview of the profession of medical laboratory science with an introduction to the role, ethics, education, certification process, employment and fundamental knowledge and skills related to medical laboratory science. Students will examine the basic laboratory skills and safety operations used in clinical laboratories including preanalytical, analytical and post analytical phases of testing as well as phlebotomy and microscopy techniques.
Requisites: CHEM 111, BIOL 232. (Required, Previous). BIOL 233 (Required, Previous or concurrent).
