ME 416 - Power Plant Engineering
Introduction to power generation, review of power cycles-heat transfer-fuels-combustion, steam power plants-equipments, gas turbines, cogeneration, waste heat recovery units, environmental effects, economic and performance considerations optimizing components. (3-0)
Requisites: All Foundation courses (Required, Previous). All Engineering Core courses (Required, Previous). All lower division (100 and 200 level) Mechanical Engineering courses (Required, Previous). Mechanical Engineering Major (Required, Previous). ME 420 (Required, Previous or concurrent).
