CIS 486 - Data Warehousing & Entr Database Systems This course will examine how large amounts of data are stored, processed and managed in large, complex environments such as healthcare, manufacturing and educational systems. Students will cover topics including traditional RDBMS and its role in modern large data environments, data exchange facilities, advances in data storage technology and issues related to data production and quality. Students will be required to model a data warehouse project making heavy use of an extract/transform/loading (ETL) system they will build.
Requisites: CIS 386 (Required, Previous).
