BLS 100 - Introduction to Black Studies Foundation course for Black Studies Minor. Examines the intellectual, disciplinary origins and development of this field and central concepts. This course examines the full scope of the African Diaspora including topics such as race relations models, the construction of race, systems of slavery, colonialism, and segregation, resistance, anti-colonialism, liberation, nationalism, Pan-Africanism, Afrocentrism, Black Feminism, institutions, politics, and culture.
