HS 360 - Principles of Women’s Health Introduces basic concepts of women’s health emphasizing primary health care of women from menarche to senescence. Prioritized instruction in normal function and selected medical conditions in women’s health including gender-specific medical disorders, general gynecology, pregnancy, childbirth, behavioral and social issues unique to women, neoplasms, infection, endocrine changes and recommended health screening measures. Focus is on health promotion, disease prevention and the chronic health issues and social factors that affect women.
Requisites: BIOL 232 or BIOL 231. (Required, Previous).
