ME 350 - Wind Energy Introduction to the wide variety of topics necessary to work or conduct research in the wind energy field. Included are the history of wind energy, the wind resource, modern wind turbine components and design, siting, applications of both small and large turbines, economics, environmental and social issues. A semester-long project for planning a wind farm in the Great Lakes region will be required.
Requisites: MATH 162, ME 251, ECE 235. Mechanical Engineering Major or Alternative Energy Minor (Required, Previous).
