NURS 740 - PMHNP Clinical
Direct practice experiences with individuals, families and groups provides opportunities for application of assessment, diagnosis and psychotherapeutic skills in managing acute and chronic mental health conditions across the lifespan and in a variety of clinical settings. Emphasis is on the provision of evidence-based care with a focus on the use of telehealth and emerging technologies to improve access to quality mental health care. Course may be taken in 1, 2, or 3 credit increments for a total of 9 credits in the program with 540 clinical hours total.
Requisites: Prerequisites: NURS-710, NURS-712, and NURS-716; Prerequisite or Co-requisite: Either NURS-731, NURS-733, or NURS-735
