ME 380 - Manufacturing Processes & Syst An introduction to manufacturing processes and systems. Processing of metals, polymers, ceramics and composites. Selection of appropriate materials, processes and systems in conjunction with an engineering design is emphasized. Design for manufacturability, concurrent engineering and quality method fundamentals are introduced. Laboratory experiences involving material removal processes, forming, casting, injection molding, computer aided manufacturing, rapid prototyping and basic CNC concepts (3-3)
Requisites: ME 220, ME 250. Mechanical Engineering Major (Required, Previous).
