TE 430 - Introduction to Special Education This course is a foundation course for all special education endorsement programs and it focuses on understanding different disabilities, as well as individuals identified as gifted. Family involvement, theoretical approaches to special education, special education law, procedures for assessment and identification of disabilities, and the Individualized Educational Program (IEP) process are also addressed. The course examines the various systems for delivering educational services that may include inclusion and continuum of services to meet the unique needs of each youth.
