PSYC 330 - Motivation A concentration on current motivation theories and recurrent issues in the history of motivational psychology. Evolutionary, behavioral, cognitive, and cybernetic-systems approaches to motivational psychology are addressed. The roles of physiological, psychological and social needs and the effects of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation are addressed as they pertain to topics such as: effort and persistence; goal-seeking; learning and adaptation; autonomy and self-regulation; power and aggression; achievement and competence; affiliation, etc.
Requisites: PSYC 100, junior or senior psychology major or instructor permission. (Required, Previous).
