ME 446 - Automotive Vehicle Dynamics
This course will cover the theory of ground vehicle dynamics and control. Topics will include load transfer, towing performance, traction and power limited acceleration, braking performance, braking efficiency, brake proportioning, ride quality, cornering, oversteer, understeer, tire forces in cornering, suspension and steering in the cornering, steering systems analysis and geometry and suspension systems analysis and geometry. Prerequisites: ME 252 .
